Open letter to those who are called today to create “new passing lines.”
That’s what a coach “asks” of his number 10.
Not the defender, maybe the midfielder… not those who play containment.
But the playmaker, the one who has in his hands — or rather, at his feet — the power to change the face of the match, with a flash, an idea… a “stroke of genius.”
Yet this phrase doesn’t belong only to the world of football.
I believe it should become a daily mantra for every Entrepreneur, every creative, every artisan, and every professional.
Because “risking the play” is not madness… it’s a “total action.”
It’s the call of those who feel the world needs their “unique way of being in the world.”
But be careful: risking the play does not mean acting without criteria.
It means having the courage to dare a new idea when everything around you pushes for caution.
It means seeing possibility where others see only patterns, rules, standards.
It means not hiding behind tactics (or benchmarks) but putting your own vision, your own voice, your own identity on the field… YOUR OWN GAME PLAN!
In an era where companies are increasingly similar to each other, where offers are equivalent,
the difference is made by those who have “something to say” and above all those, like you… have something to risk.
In my work, which crosses humanistic coaching, storytelling, identity design, and strategy,

Number 10 (but also number 8, or 5, 7, or 4) knows: every action is an opportunity to create, not to replicate… to make an impact… to change the inertia of the match.
To put the “opposing defense” in difficulty… to BREAK THE PATTERN, to overturn the rules of tactics…
Today, in a world that wants you “optimized,” “efficient,” and “measurable,” it takes a new kind of courage:
✅ the courage to be unrepeatable.
✅ The courage to risk intuition.
✅ The courage to train every day to be yourself with method because even the purest talent needs discipline.
